LEADERSHIP TEAM

To encourage, disciple, and develop strong, Christian leaders within the youth group
who are committed to loving and serving God by loving and serving His Church and
reaching out to other students with the good news of His grace.

What is an AONE youth leader?

We believe students have a greater impact on other students than adult leaders;
so we make student leadership training a huge emphasis in our ministry.
Leaders must be in 11th or 12th grade and agree to our leadership vows (expressed below).
In addition to the vows, potential leaders are individually met with to discuss their
relationship with Christ and desires for the student ministry. Also, leaders are given
accountability sheets to be filled out bi-monthly.

Benefits of being a leader include planning various events throughout the year;
a leadership retreat; Scripture memorization; mentoring Jr. High students through
attending Jr. High events and discipleship; leading prayer and Bible studies; and giving
input on large group studies. Leaders also attend weekly meetings to discuss leadership,
Scripture, and prayer to prepare them for college and leadership opportunities in life.

Leadership Vows

I willingly commit myself to be a leader and witness for Christ through
the student ministry of Grace Community Church and agree to the following:

I am a Christian, mature and growing in my faith.
I will show consistent attendance at AONE youth group meetings and events.
I will strive to reflect Christ in my life and decisions at home, work, school, and church.
I will give of my time, resources, and life for the sake of the youth, church, and others.
